Meagan Good Thanks Whoopi Goldberg for Helping Her ‘Rediscover’ Herself After She Divorced Devon Franklin | WATCH

*Meagan Good has seemingly recovered from her painful divorce from Pastor DeVon Franklin. She looks good and feels great. It is nearly two years since the ordeal, and she is thanking some of the people who stood by her side through it all.

The actress was recently interviewed by “The View,” and she took the opportunity to thank host Whoopi Goldberg for helping her in her dark moments.

Good split from Franklin in 2021.

“I have to give you your flowers. You’re so nurturing and amazing and kind and [she] covers you,” Good, 47, told the 67-year-old actress. “[She] looks out for me and the other girls on set. It’s been a joy. I feel very, very privileged.”

Good and Goldberg stars in the Amazon Prime series “Harlem.”

“I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve rediscovered myself in a lot of ways,” said Good. “I’ve gotta say again, Whoopi was very instrumental in that because we had some really good conversations I needed to have that were illuminating for me and eye-opening for me. I think in this season, I’m just really excited for what’s next.”

Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin were married for ten years. They filed for divorce in December 2021. They also would not explain why they decided to go their separate ways.

They merely said in a statement that there was “no one at fault” for the end of their marriage and that it was “the next best chapter in the evolution” of their love.

Now that she is over it and has reflected on it, she says she is “excited” to see what the future holds.

“I’m like, ‘All right, Lord, if you allowed it, what’s next, Dad?’ It’s exciting for me low-key. I feel like I get to start my life over in some ways and have a second chance at whatever’s supposed to be next. I’m really embracing that, and excited about it. I don’t know what to expect and that’s kind of amazing.”

Earlier, she disclosed to “E! News” her future plans. She said she wants to travel more, direct more and do more action. She added that she wants to create vehicles for little Black girls to show themselves in a completely different light and help support that and uplift that.

Meanwhile, the actress is set to return to Amazon Prime in February and in March for the second season of Harlem.
