Keke Palmer Drops Music Video for Her New Single ‘Waiting’ | Watch

*Keke Palmer released a new music video for her hot single “Waiting,” which appears on her visual album “Big Boss.”

“I am thrilled to share my new music video ‘Waiting’ and upcoming visual album ‘Big Boss’ with my fans,” Palmer tells POPSUGAR. “‘Waiting’ is a story that most people can relate to, dealing with the highs and lows of being in an uneven relationship. I wanted to bring the lyrics to life through a suspenseful storyline and visually stunning moments that take the audience on a ride and inspire them to ‘boss up’ exactly where they are right now.”

The song is about Palmer breaking free of a toxic relationship and the video, which the actress directed, sees her pining away inside a jailhouse after committing a slew of crimes in the name of love.

The new music video comes on the heels of Palmer being honored Saturday by the Los Angeles LGBT Center for being an inspiration to the queer community.

During her speech at the event, Palmer admitted to struggling with her sexuality and gender identity. 

“I’m so grateful to be here today to be embraced by a community that I’ve always felt accepted by and a part of,” Palmer said after being presented with a Vanguard Award, Variety reports.

“I’ve always been my own person. Sexuality and identity for me has always been confusion. You know, it’s, ‘I never felt straight enough. I never felt gay enough. And I never felt woman enough. I never felt man enough.’ You know, I always felt like I was a little bit of everything.”

Transgender influencer Ts Madison hosted the gala, which took place at the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel. The event reportedly raised more than $1 million for the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
