In a clip from an unreleased documentary posted on X, formerly known as Twitter (such a dumb name, Elon Musk, you ruin everything), Ye, previously named Kanye West, is captured going in on Kris Jenner’s man Corey Gamble and Cardi B, accusing the artist of being an industry plant. The derogatory name is defined as “an industry plant refers to an artist who seemingly emerges out of nowhere, gaining rapid fame and success while leaving many questioning the authenticity of their rise to stardom.” In short, artists appear to gain fame organically but are actually “manufactured talents” backed by music labels. “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati. She don’t write her raps, she’s just there to sound as ignorant as possible… You know, she has literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposefully. They put her there, and now she doesn’t know what to do, she has no idea what the f**k is going on,” rants Ye. “She thinks it’s just a blessing from the universe. It ain’t no blessing from the f**king universe.” Cardi B clapped back by posting a video where Ye praised her when he sat down with Hollywood Unlocked Jason Lee, “My cousins were saying ‘come by here’ yesterday but I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean. Like I always believed in her.”
But wait, there’s more; Ye also fired shots at ex-wife Kim Kardashian, Nas, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor for not appreciating his creative genius, “The f**k I’m doing giving (‘Gonna Love You’) to f**king Teyana? What the f**k I’m doing giving that DAYTONA album to Pusha?” he said. “That s**t was three Dark Fantasies that I gave away. ‘Cops Shot The Kid’, Nas rapping all God damn offbeat on it, don’t even wanna shoot a video, then shoot the video, don’t even tell me. These motherf**kers don’t appreciate me. All these motherf**kers is trynna use me.” An unchecked ego is one helluva of a drug.
