Joshua Farrakhan, Son of Minister Louis Farrakhan, Passes Away at Age 64

*Joshua Farrakhan, the son of Nation of Islam leader the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, has passed away. He was 64.

Citing LocalNew.US, Moguldom.com revealed that details surrounding the cause of Joshua’s death have not been released.

We do know that back in 2001,  Joshua Farrakhan was the victim of a shooting during an altercation on Chicago’s South Side. A CNN report says he and a female companion were at a friend’s residence when the incident happened.

Around 1:20am a man pulled out a handgun and began shooting. Joshua was shot in the right leg and the left thigh and the woman was hit on the head with a blunt object. The offender fled the scene.

According to The Final Call, Joshua “returned to Allah” on Nov. 18. 2023 A Janazah Service was held at Mosque Maryam on Nov. 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with the burial immediately following the service.

Joshua was one of nine children of Minister Louis Farrakhan and NOI First Lady Khadijah Farrakhan. The Chicago Sun-Times noted the couple’s son, Louis Farrakhan Jr., suffered from a heart condition and “passed peacefully in his sleep at the family home in Phoenix, AZ in 2018 at the age of 60.
