*Joe Budden has responded to the backlash over his scrapped Tasha K interview.
In case you missed it, Tasha K went off on him last week for scrapping their interview out of respect for Cardi B, Hip Hop DX reports. Budden explained on his Joe Budden After Hours show on Clubhouse why he decided not to release the footage.
“The girl’s work ethic is her work ethic,” Budden stated. “And she has it. Can’t nobody take that away from her. I wanted to learn more about her. Clearly negligence on my part with that whole her, Cardi… they both seem to be entirely too passionate about whatever occurred for even a regular interview to go down.”
Budden added: “But that interview wasn’t coming out now because of Cardi. Like I already told her, that interview was a problem legally, financially, and algorithmically. It was a lot going on in that interview. It would be foolish of me to just put out an interview with the girl that just got sued and lost for $4 million without checking this.”
“All of this other shit just happened to happen while my lawyers was looking at this. Listen, you play with pigs, you get mud on you. I don’t have nothing to say. That’s just a very destructive type of energy. I wouldn’t have got that from her without meeting her. Like meeting her and hearing her story is like, oh, this is why you’re like this,” he explained.

“This is why some. things are maybe hindering your progress. This is why there’s levels to this,” Budden said.
Meanwhile, Cardi B has reportedly sent subpoenas for Tasha K’s wire transfers and tax records as she continues to attempt to collect on the $4 million judgment as part of her defamation case against the Unwine with Tasha K star.
As we reported previously, Tasha K hit up social media recently to explain that the $4 million has already been paid via the rapper’s legal fees.
“Your lawyers have collected the 4 million that’s owed to you by simply making you pay for it by keeping you in litigation due to your lack of education,” Tasha K wrote.
“They play You simply wanting my platform down because of my OPINION of you! And you don’t want others giving me a platform. They know you will pay any price to get it down and they are banking on that! However, the fact stands that My #MultiBillions of #Viewers across social media has Built this platform and continue to build this platform without saying your name in any video!”
