*In terms of influence, the Holy Bible knows few competitors. Unless you ask Dr. Boyce Watkins. According to him, the Good Book is not the tome to read for black children. So much so that he cites Dr. Claud Anderson’s “PowerNomics: The National Plan to Empower Black America,” as a “more important” book to spend time with.

Moguldom.com notes Watkins’ views with the author and political analyst believing that Anderson’s PowerNomics that reading “Powernomics” is more important for Black children than the Holy Bible.
Watkins dives further into his point in a video posted on Twitter / X. In the clip (watch it here.), Watkins labels “PowerNomics” as the “economic Bible of the Black community.” His reason for ranking Anderson’s work higher than the Bible?

“He’s giving you the secrets they don’t give you in public school…,” he stated.

As outlined in “PowerNomics: The National Plan to Empower Black America,” Dr. Anderson defined PowerNomics as “a set of principles and strategies designed to address the unique challenges faced by Black Americans. It teaches individuals and communities how to pool resources, leverage economic power, and create opportunities for wealth generation and economic competitiveness.”

Moguldom breaks the often referred to “Economic Bible of the Black community” down further, mentioning that its aim lies in empowering Black Americans by “providing a framework for economic and political competitiveness.”

“It encourages resource pooling, strategic planning, and wealth creation within the community. By learning these principles, Black children can be better prepared to address economic disparities and advocate for their rights,” the site stated, adding that “It offers a comprehensive guide on how the Black community can empower itself economically and politically.”

The president of PowerNomics Corporation of America, Inc. and The Harvest Institute, Inc., organizations dedicated to advancing economic and political empowerment among Black Americans, Anderson is regarded as a leading voice about Black economics and empowerment.

His books include the influential works “Black Labor, White Wealth: A Search for Power and Economic Justice” and “PowerNomics: The National Plan.” Anderson’s latest page-turner, “More Dirty Little Secrets About Black History” is coauthored by his son Brant.
