*The new concert film from Beyonce is expected to have a global opening between $30 million and $40 million, according to Deadline.

We reported previously that Queen Bey is bringing her Renaissance World Tour to AMC Theatres starting Dec. 1. This is the second movie to be distributed in wide release by exhibitor AMC following “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” — which opened this fall and had a worldwide box office of $250M, according to Deadline

“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will play in thousands of U.S., Canadian, and Mexican theaters (and Israel), with tickets available via AMC and Fandango.

Deadline writes, “If the new movie, which is hot with Black audiences and older women, is lucky, it will be lead the box office with a $20M domestic start, and possibly $20M abroad.”

“We hear that Renaissance presales at AMC and Regal theaters, which have a big footprint with Black moviegoing audiences, look very robust, while No. 3 circuit Cinemark does not,” the outlet continues.

“When I am performing, I am nothing but free,” Beyoncé says in the film’s trailer. “The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged. Start over, start fresh, create the new. That’s what the Renaissance is about.”

Per CNN, the official summary of the film states, “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy and master her craft.”

Fans are expected to show up and show out wearing all silver to the screenings.

“Although there’s been no official word from the Queen herself on how moviegoers should dress, Beyoncé did ask concertgoers to wear all silver when attending her “Renaissance” shows, dubbing it her “House of Chrome,” CNN writes via an article that appeared on EUR.
