On Friday, Houston police arrest charged 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark with the killing of the hip-hop star, whose name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, Fox 5 Atlanta reports.

HPD Homicide Division Sgt. Michael Burrow said witnesses were unwilling to corporate with investigators. So detectives had to rely heavily on video surveillance, cell phone video, and audio to track down the gunman.

“Through that we were able to deduce that Patrick Clark is the lethal shooter in the case, that’s why he’s charged with murder,” Burrow said.

Clark’s arrest comes 31 days after the shooting of Takeoff during a dice game outside a bowling alley on Nov. 1. An argument erupted after the game and gunshots were fired. Two others were injured in the shooting.

“There was a lucrative dice game that went on at the event. There was an argument that happened afterwards outside the bowling alley, which led to the shooting,” said Burrow. “I can tell you that Takeoff was not involved in playing in the dice game, he was not involved in the argument that happened outside. He was not armed.”

Clark was reportedly arrested without incident on Sterling Green Boulevard on Thursday night.

According to court documents, after killing Takeoff, Clark, “applied for an expedited passport by submitting a travel itinerary for an upcoming flight to Mexico,” per court documents as reproted by Fox 5 News.

Cameron Joshua, 22, was reportedly arrested Nov. 22 on a felon in possession of a weapon charge in connection to Takeoff’s shooting. According to prosecutors, he did not fire a weapon during the dice game.

“We believe Cameron Joshua has been appropriately charged in this case and we’re continuing our investigation into the death of Takeoff,” Harris County prosecutor Matt Gilliam said after Wednesday’s hearing.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear if Clark was invited to the private party where Takeoff was killed or if he knew the artist personally.

Clark reportedly remains jailed in Houston on a $2 million bond. Prosecutors said he is a flight risk.

Clark made his first court appearance last week after being charged. Watch the YouTube clip below.
