DuVernay has launched the Law Enforcement Accountability Project, which promotes works of art combatting the forces that shield police officers from consequences for misconduct in the line of duty.
The filmmaker behind such work as “When They See Us,” “Selma” and “13th,” spoke about the movement against police brutality and racial justice during an appearance Thursday on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
