*Herman Cain died last month after following a brief battle with the coronavirus. Two weeks later, it appears he’s tweeting his disdain for the Biden/Harris ticket from beyond the grave.

Cain’s previously dormant twitter account is now active, and one of the first posts attacks Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

“Just in case you thought Biden’s candidacy was going to be anything other than completely nuts, team Trump has released a new video,” the @THEHermanCain account tweeted just after 4pm.

The post included a link to a Trump campaign video which accused Biden of having “a racism problem”.

Thursday morning, the Cain account tweeted again, criticizing Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, who was on Biden’s shortlist of VP choices.

The posts spooked many other Twitter users until it was revealed that the account was being run by his family.

Cain’s daughter, Dr. Melanie Cain Gallo, explained that she will carry on her father’s political mission: “Hello. I’m Dr. Melanie Cain Gallo, and I am proud to say that Herman Cain was my dad. He believed in using his voice to teach, enlighten and give hope,” she wrote in a tweet. “It’s one of the ways he used this web site every day, and he wouldn’t have wanted that work to stop with his passing.”

In the website statement, she said: “We’ve decided here at Cain HQ that we will go on using this platform to share the information and ideas he believed in. He often talked about the site going on once he was ready to step away from it. We had hoped he could enjoy reading it in his retirement, but he made it clear he wanted it to go on.”

Cain Gallo said posts from her father’s accounts “will now go under the name The Cain Gang.”
