Woman pulls gun on Black mother at Chipotle parking lot in Michigan

*A new viral video shows a white woman in Michigan drawing and then pointing a gun at a Black woman after a confrontation in a Chipotle parking lot, a move that has just gotten her charged with felonious assault.

According to The Detroit News, the incident happened in Oakland County on Wednesday. Takelia Hill, who was in the parking lot with her 15-year-old daughter Makayla, told the paper that the white woman, who has not been identified, bumped into her daughter. The confrontation began after Makayla said that she asked the woman to apologize for bumping into her and said the woman allegedly “started cussing me out and saying things like I was invading her personal space.”

The confrontation then escalated before the white woman and a man, later identified as her husband, started driving away. It appears that her car comes close to hitting Hill, who can then be seen hitting the back of the car. At that point, the white woman exits the car, drawing a gun that and points it at the mother, telling her to “get the f— away.” Hill then tells her daughter to film the woman’s license plates as she point the gun at her.

“Don’t you f—— jump behind my car,” the woman yells.

“I didn’t jump behind your car I was walking,” Hill responds.

The woman then yells for the mother to “back the f— up” before eventually going back to her car as Hill’s daughter could be heard crying to her mom to stop walking. A photo posted by Hill on Facebook Wednesday (see below) appears to show an officer taking away the woman, with her hands behind her back.

Oakland County Executive David Coulter said at a press conference this afternoon that both the woman and her husband, who also exited the car holding a gun, have been charged with felonious assault. They’re both in custody and are expected to be arraigned sometime this afternoon.

“I am deeply disturbed by an incident last night where a woman pointed a cocked gun at another woman during an argument,” Coulter said in a statement Thursday. “This behavior is unacceptable. I wholly expect the prosecutor to bring charges that reflect the severity of the incident.”
