*Eve has responded to the criticism she’s been hit with for admitting to having “uncomfortable conversations” about race relations with her white husband.

We previously reported, during an episode of “The Talk@Home” last week,  Eve added her voice to the chorus of Black women who, as of late, have been hitting up social media to whine about the challenges they are having trying to explain to their white husbands/boyfriends what the Black community is feeling right now, amid the death of George Floyd.

“I am in an interracial relationship. I am having some of the most difficult and uncomfortable conversations I think I’ve ever had, and vice-versa with my husband,” she explained, per The YBF. “But, at the same time, it’s a beautiful thing, because…I don’t know his life through his eyes. He doesn’t know my life through my eyes. All he can do is try to understand and try to ask the questions, and he wants to understand…but we have to be okay with being uncomfortable so that we can get to a solution.”

As reported by TooFab, one Twitter responded to her remarks with, “Eve talking about shes been recently having the most uncomfortable conversations with her husband because of whats going on. Ummmm ma’am? You married him before having these conversations.”

Another posted, “I don’t want to hear s–t from Eve talking about she has been having uncomfortable conversations with her yt husband b/c b–ch wtf did you think would happen when you decided to married outside of your race smh.”

In a preview clip for Tuesday’s episode (June 9), Eve addresses the backlash and attempts to clear up any misunderstandings over her comments.

“I got some backlash just recently when I spoke out about myself,” she began. “Me being in an interracial relationship and saying that ‘I’m having some of the most difficult conversations that we’ve ever had.’ And some people lit up the comments and trashed me and were questioning whether this was the first time I had had these conversations.”

“And I want to be very clear,” she continued. “We have had many conversations because I’ve been in this relationship for many years. When you enter an interracial relationship, there are conversations you must have, that’s just natural.”

“So this is not the first one. I’ve been having some of the most difficult conversations because we are in one of the most difficult places in our nation, in our world. In this time, so that’s why I said that it was difficult.”

Even also noted that she is the “proud Black stepmother” to her four stepchildren and has had discussions with them to see if “anyone ever said anything racially” to them regarding their father’s relationship with the rapper.

“So, my conversations are difficult, but because we are in a difficult place. I just wanted to clear that up.”

Check out Eve’s response via the Twitter video below and watch “The Talk@Home” on CBS at 2pm ET/1pm PT.
