*An old clip has surfaced online of Siohvaughn Funches, ex-wife of NBA all-star Dwyane Wade, speaking out about Gabrielle’s Union negative influence on her sons.
Siohvaughn and D. Wade married in 2002 and Wade filed for divorce in 2007. They share two sons, who Dwyane was granted sole custody of in 2011. After a long public legal battle, the ex-couple reportedly reached a settlement with in their divorce case in 2013.
Wade was reportedly ordered to pay Funches $5 million, in addition to handing over a mansion in Chicago, four cars, and a “non-disparage” agreement prohibits them from publicly degrading each other.
This may explain why Siohvaughn has remained quiet about Wade claiming their 12-year-old son Zion is transitioning into a girl named Zaya.
“Zaya, originally born Zion as a boy, came home and said, ‘Hey, so I want to talk to you guys. I think going forward I’m ready to live my truth, and I want to be referenced as ‘she’ and ‘her.’ I would love for you guys to call me Zaya,'” D. Wade said last week on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”. “So internally, now it’s our job to go out and get information, to reach out to every relationship that we have.”

On “Good Morning America,” Wade revealed that his child has been aware since age 3 that he was born in the wrong body.
“Zaya started doing more research. She was the one that sat down with us as a family and said, ‘Hey I don’t think I’m gay.’ And she went down the list and said this is how I identify myself — I identify myself as a young lady,” D. Wade told Robin Roberts. I think I’m a straight trans, because I like boys,'” he explained. “It was a process for us to sit down with our daughter and find out who she is and what she likes and not put something on her — we decided to listen to her and she’s leading us on this journey.”
Union recently shared a video of Zaya speaking about her gender identity.
“Meet Zaya,” Gabby wrote in the caption of the clip. “She’s compassionate, loving, whip smart and we are so proud of her. It’s Ok to listen to, love & respect your children exactly as they are. Love and light good people.”

The more Wade and Union parade this child around like a prop for the LGBT community, the more folks are giving them a collective side-eye. The “woke” segment of the culture seems to have cancelled Wade, while others believe Union groomed his child with her “liberal views.”

One Twitter user responded to the clip by noting, “Zion will become the manifestation of Gabrielle’s projected gender self hatred because she is a female who can’t reproduce by coercing Zion to reject his penis and become essentially a eunuch. Union has an unconscious hatred for [Wade’s] sons since she couldn’t birth em and Wade can.”
Another added, “Gabrielle is unable to have children on her own. And psychologically she resents herself because she is ashamed in her inability to reproduce. She is projecting this onto Zion by feminizing him to reject his genitalia.”
A third said of Siohvaughn, “Shortly after they divorced, she went to law school. She specializes in child support and custody cases. Hopefully, she is working on getting custody of her children back and can convince a judge that what they’re doing is child abuse.”
And yet another user observed, “Wow, the time that D Wade said his (son) daughter knew her gender identity at (3 yrs/old); is around the same time that his ex wife said she filed a lawsuit against Gabrielle Union because of the “negative effect she had” on her sons.”
