*This morning Sen. Kamala Harris spoke with SiriusXM Urban View host Joe Madison of The Joe Madison Show.
During the interview, she told Madison that President Trump’s defense team will …
“Come back with distractions and nonsense.. to try and distract people from the facts,” and said Donald Trump was doing “dirty work; trying to take care of his personal business and using the office of the president…that’s called abuse of power.”
Senator Harris added:
“He didn’t ask the United States attorney general. He didn’t ask the United States law enforcement. He asked the president of Ukraine to investigate an American and for what purpose? For his personal benefit, because he was scared that Joe Biden might win the election, and so he wanted to take him down by getting dirt on him and making up a case against him so that the American people would say, Oh no, Ukraine is investigating Joe Biden…That’s called an abuse of power. Why is that an abuse of power? Because we should expect that the commander in chief of the United States, the president of the United States would do his or her work with the public trust, meaning that they do their work, especially their interactions with a foreign government should be based on what’s in the best interest of American national security and the American people.”
