*If recent crowds are any indication, Give Me Liberty could be the next independent film to be a blockbuster sensation.  Over a thousand people showed up last week in Milwaukee.

Fans loved it in New York and this week Los Angeles is expected to pack the house 7:30 PM Wednesday, August 28 at the Laemmle Theater at 8556 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills to see Give Me Liberty, written by Alice Austen and Kirill Mikhanovsky. The LA Premiere on Wednesday will include a Q&A hosted by Areva Martin and Mark Olsen.

Give Me Liberty is about a guy named Vic, who happens to drive a medical transport van.  It would be a regular day except the fact that a huge protest results in a roadblock and a major traffic jam.

That’s when the real ride begins.  The bewildered, distressed, disabled and disenchanted merge into a comical and frazzled frenzy while just trying to get from point A to point B, with compromised abilities.  Pun intended.

Give Me Liberty appeared in this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It’s an official selection for the BAM Cinema festival and it has also won Critics Choice Awards. It is on the fast track to becoming one of the most talked-about indie films of the year.

Directed by Kirill Mikhanovsky, Give Me Liberty stars Maksim Stoyanov, Darya Ekamasova, Chris Galust, Lauren Spencer, Zoya Makhlina, Sheryl Sims-Daniels, Dorothy Reynolds, Steve Wolski, Michelle Caspar and Ben Derfel. For tickets and info on other theaters across the nation, go to GoWatchIt.com
