Lizzo Slams Claim She’s the Face of America’s ‘Obesity Epidemic’

*Lizzo has addressed claims that she skyrocket into stardom because she’s the poster child for America’s “obesity epidemic.”

The “Truth Hurts” singer responded to a claim from Dr. Boyce Watkins that she’s only popular because she’s obese.

“I’m popular because I write good songs and I’m talented and perform high energy hour and a half shows filled with love,” Lizzo wrote. “The only person who needs to do better is you. Keep my name out ya mouth & look in the mirror before you come for me. Here’s the attention you ordered.”

Watkins’ comments come months after rapper Azealia Banks slammed Lizzo for being the “Millennial Mammy” for the dominant society.

“I understand the body positivity thing but … imagine what the rest of the world thinks when they see lizzo jumping around in leotards with cellulite,” Banks wrote on social media back in September. “No one says body positivity – she looks like she is making a fool of her black self for a white American public. Nothing more nothing less.”

She also took aim at other female artists.

“Like illiterate [Cardi B] then fate lizzo. They are really choosing the worst of the black womens crop to advertise America with,” AB went on. “Lmao the fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom.”

AB then said of Lizzo’s hit song “Truth Hurts” … “This song is not good, nor is the dumpy fat girl spectacle live set she does. Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.”

Lizzo was cancelled by the culture last week after she turned up at a Lakers Game with her ass literally exposed, talking about she’s empowering overweight women. To do what, exactly? Make a spectacle of themselves? Girl, bye.
