*Chuck D of Public Enemy fame hit up Twitter on Tuesday to take aim at Maury Povich and Jerry Springer for exploiting young Black folks on TV.
The legendary hip-hop star and activist blasted the daytime talk show hosts for profiting off the ignorance and misfortune of their guests, and even suggest that Povich and Springer were being paid by the federal government to depict minorities in a negative light, Complex reports.
“Just how much the fed$ pay these old white dudes like Maury & Jerry showtiming young folks dysfunctional sht on Air …especially young blacks,” he tweeted. “Beware of elder media Nucointelpro buzzards hovering. Everything ain’t entertainment in fact it’s exploitation.”

Chuck’s post was accompanied by a photo of a recent Maury episode titled, “My wife admitted to cheating … are these my children.”
One Twitter user responded to Chuck’s post by writing, “Chuck youre crazy for this one . If they werent out having multiple children and not taking care of them this wouldnt exist. These shows dont seek out the guests . The guests call in to get on the show . If these girls stuck to no condom no sex these problems wouldnt exist .”
Another commented, “And their sponsors are those for-profit colleges with worthless degrees and enormous student loan debt. Their target audience is the same as Jerry and Maury’s viewers. Poor. Trailer park. Black and Latinx.”
A third wrote, “THANK YOU!!! I have been saying this for decades. My kids are tired of hearing it. It is the normalization of subjugation behavior!!!”
Meanwhile, Povich is going to further profit off his signature paternity test readings by rollingl out an adult board game called “You Are Not the Father.” Per NBC Universal’s description: “‘The Maury Game: You Are Not the Father’ will allow players to clear their name, Maury-style, with this hilarious party game for adults. The game challenges players to prove their non-paternity through a series of outrageous accusations and laugh-out-loud arguments.”
