*Comedian Lil Rel is fighting his ex for custody of their two-year-old son, after learning the child’s mother has not been honest when it comes to paternity.
Rel, whose real name is Milton Howery Jr., recently filed legal documents to have sole custody of the boy, TMZ, reports. In documents obtained by the outlet, the “Get Out” actor claims the child’s mother, LeChez Davis, initially told him he fathered their son and that she was divorced from her husband.

But when he posted a photo of his son on Instagram, and unnamed person reached out to tell him that Davis’ husband was really the child’s father.
Rel claims he later confirmed that his ex was indeed married, and had told her husband that he was the father of the child. Davis’ husband also listed his last name on the baby’s birth certificate.
Lil Rel believes he was bamboozled by his ex and that she used their child in a “nefarious scheme replete with concealment, misrepresentations and deception in an attempt to defraud.” His court docs also note that he has spent thousands flying Davis and the boy back and forth from Illinois to California for visits.
Last month Rel took a paternity test to prove that he is indeed the father. Now he’s asking a judge for full custody and the right to relocate the child to California.
A judge has not yet ruled in the case.
