*Amanda Seales’s fate on HBO’s “Insecure” has been in question ever since she accused Vanessa Anderson, the publicist for the star and creator of the show, Issa Rae, of kicking her out of an Emmy’s party in September.
We previously reported how Seales documented the moment on her Instagram stories, writing:
“For the record, I am being denied entrance to the Black people’s Emmy party. And it’s a White woman telling me I can’t go in. I just want to put this on record that I’m literally being told, ‘You cannot get entrance into a party that Jesse Williams invited you to.’ It’s the only Black event for the Emmy weekend, because a white woman is telling me I can’t get in. But I’m fine.”

After sharing her account on social media, rumors began circulating that her “Insecure” cast mates failed to have her back, and that there was tension between her and the co-stars. But Seales is slamming such reports, claiming there’s no on-set beef, thejasminebrand.com reports.
“The beauty is that we’re all professional people who have worked together for four seasons. And I think we all understand that there aren’t even enough black shows for us to even let that scenario bleed over into what we’re doing. So I’m fortunate to be able to work with folks who understand that. And I think what a lot of people don’t grasp is that when you’re doing television and you’re doing this work, you’re still at work.”
Despite everyone on the cast being cooler than the other side of the pillow, Seales claims there are “strained moments.”
“We’re friends on the show, but even on the show there are strained moments and ups and downs. So if you’re on the set every day for 15 hours a day, there are going to be those things too. Things happen.”
She also shared a snapshot from the “Insecure” fitting room, shutting down chatter that she’s been booted from the set (see pic above).
