*Fantasia Barrino believes the reason why single Black women “can’t find a man” is because they are unwilling to submit to their man.
The hot topic was the center of discussion when Fanny hit up The Breakfast Club recently to promote her new album, “Sketchbook.”
The 35-year-old “American Idol” alum says there are too many women trying to take on a man’s role when they should actually humble themselves and submit to their partners.
“Most women are trying to be the leader. That’s why you can’t find a man,” she said. “You can’t be the king in the house. Fall back and be the queen and let your man lead the way.”

She continued, “You have to find how to submit. You can still be a queen. The queen plays a part. The king needs his queen. There’s certain things that he can’t see that we see.”
Fantasia’s comments certainly sparked debate among social media users, with some agreeing with her while others simply weren’t buying it.
As noted by Ace Showbiz, one social media user referred to Barrino’s church background and said: “This was and still is heavily taught. I don’t mind being submissive to the RIGHT MAN. I Agree with her 100% sis but until mr.right comes along I’m the hbic.” One other agreed and noted, “Trying to be the kind of the house leads to a man feeling less of a man. It’s OK to be strong and independent but let that man still be A MAN!!!” One person simply applauded her for “speaking pure facts.”
Another said, “Every single relationship is supposed to be unique. I don’t like when people give out blanket sexist advice.” One other sarcastically asked, “Are we still talking about submitting to another human being? Sad.”
A third user added, “There ain’t a damn thing about a male that makes him a good leader simply due to his maleness. Why does a woman being strong, independent and capable mean she’s trying to be a man? Why must women be on their knees so men can feel strong? It’s quite pathetic. To see so many women agreeing to this is disheartening. Im not a dog therefore I don’t need to be led.”
