*Rapper, singer and songwriter Jacoby X firmly believes he possesses the talent to become a household name in the music industry – and he plans to mark his official introduction into the game with his cool and catchy new single, “Check,” the first installment on his upcoming EP Unapologetically Me.
On the track Jacoby X rhymes smoothly and effortlessly over the infectious beat and melody produced by rising producer, V Tha Great. It is the perfect song for the clubs and is sure to have listeners bobbing their heads and wanting to tap the replay button.
“This is a song that makes people want to turn up and get some money, simple as that,” Jacoby X said. “Of course it is from a guy’s perspective, but women can flip it around and add their little twist to it as well. It’s just a fun song.”
A product of Birmingham, Alabama and a Tuskegee University Alum, Jacoby X is known for his hard work, passionate energy and extraordinary penmanship. He has opened shows for prominent artists like Migos, 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Trina, Diamond (Crime Mob) and Hood Rich Pablo. Jacoby X is also planning a remix for “Check” which features SG (Slaughter Gang) Kendall, a member of 21 Savage’s Slaughter Gang crew. The gifted songwriter also composed a song for the 2018 independent film “Divided We Fall: A Story of Redemption and is gearing up to release more music that transcends genres, even venturing into gospel.
“I like to describe my music as pain music because I put all of my heart and soul and pain into my music,” Jacoby X said. “Every song I make is about experiences I went through or am going through. People always tell me they get inspired by my music or they can relate to what I say. I put my soul into it and I am a very spiritual person. I can’t wait to share more with the world. ”
