*Video showing a prison inmate getting his ass beat in prison surfaced over the weekend, with the leakers claiming the footage was from Nassau County Jail and showed the vicious beating of Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani by his fellow inmates.
Nicki and Jelani’s mother has since come forward to deny that her son, currently awaiting sentencing at Nassau County Jail for child rape, was the victim of a jailhouse beating.
“Please don’t give this lie any more power,” captioned Carol Maraj in an Instagram post of her portrait. It contained the message: “Hey guys, this is a big hoax. I just saw my son.”
According to the blogs, the beatdown footage (seen in the video above) claims to show Jelani being pummeled by gang members.
