*Mike Tyson is reportedly shopping a scripted comedy series that is loosely based on his life as a marijuana grower.
The show is called ‘Rolling With the Punches,’ and Iron Mike tells Page Six: “It’s simple. I’m playing a retired boxer who is growing marijuana,” he said. “It’s basically me acting like me, so people can get a look at what my life could be like in different scenarios.”
According to the report, the former heavyweight champ is filming the show at his Tyson Ranch, a marijuana resort in El Segundo, Calif. that was launched by the boxer back in June. Chuck Zito will reprise his real-life role as Mike’s bodyguard with Russell Peters playing his “useless best friend.”

Rob Hickman, Tyson’s business partner, says former 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Studios exec Joe Roth is producing the show, which should begin airing early next year.
Tyson Ranch is a 40-acre plot of land about 60 miles southwest of Death Valley National Park. Hickman told The Blast that the “undeveloped lands” in California City “are primed to be cultivated.”
In addition to growing marijuana, the ranch will feature a cultivation school, an edible factory, a hydro-feed and supply store, plus cabins and “glamping” campgrounds for tourists. Tyson Ranch merchandise will be also be featured on the show.
Tyson recognizes marijuana’s health benefits and said many pro athletes use some form of cannabis to relieve pain and inflammation.
A sizzle reel of Tyson’s series already exists but is not on the Internet yet.
