*Childish Gambino will live on…at least till the end of September.
Earlier this year, Donald Glover assured everyone he would drop a fourth and final album as Childish Gambino before retiring the alter-ego. On Monday, the actor-singer announced a 13-date U.S. tour with opening act Rae Sremmurd for the month of September, reports Billboard.
Other than an appearance at Governor’s Ball last summer and an intimate show on the eve of the Grammy Awards this year, this marks Gambino’s first tour in support of his Grammy-nominated 2016 album, “Awaken, My Love!,”
In the meantime, the 34-year-old will hit the big screen as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming May release “Solo: A Star Wars Story” movie. The RCA Records artist has also been shooting “The Lion King” remake, where he portrays the young king, Simba.
The second season of his FX series “Atlanta” returned on March 1 following a nearly two-year hiatus.
