*Beyonce’s mind-blowing performance at Coachella Saturday night set a YouTube live stream record — drawing 458k simultaneous viewers on the video streaming site.
That’s the most ever for a single Coachella performance since they started streaming the festival 8 years ago. That number is also up 75% over last year, when Lady Gaga stepped in to replace pregnant Bey.
YouTube re-aired the show on its livestream Sunday afternoon and viewers were able to watch it in its entirety. But once that stream timed out, it was gone, except for brief segments in news reports and lots of fan-shot footage. Aa few sites also illegally archived the livestream and have managed to elude Beyonce’s web police, probably not for long, per Variety.
So how can anyone who missed the livestream watch it now, at least legally? Well, apparently, you can’t.
“It was a one-time livestream,” a rep for Beyonce tells Variety. “Unfortunately the livestream is not available on demand,” a rep for YouTube says, noting that certain on-demand clips from other artists are available for a 60-day window.
The policy is in line with Coachella’s standard procedure since YouTube began live streaming the festival in 2011.
