*Back in da day there was an old saying (and Bette Midler is old enough to know it) that says if you can’t say anything good about (the departed) don’t say anything. Apparently Madame Miller didn’t get the memo or she just plain doesn’t give a squat.
We’re referring to Midler’s uncalled for comments regarding the late Joe Jackson who died last week after battling terminal cancer. Nope, she couldn’t find anything nice to say about him.
The 89-year-old Jackson family patriarch was known all over the world for his iron-handed, tough-love approach to honing his children into household names. It was a reality achieved several times over with the career successes of the Jackson 5, as well as Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson as soloists. All artists he managed at pivotal points.
Still, his tactics rmade him a polarizing figure in life and seemingly in death too. Because, Midler took to social media to weigh-in with her anything but nice things to say about Mr. jackson. Check out her thoughts below.

You have to wonder what the hell would make her say that?
The bottom line is that his kids (except for maybe Michael) who shared their stories about Joe have publicly forgiven him and made amends as well as declared their love for their father.
So, what is Ms. Midler’s meaness based on? Is she somehow madder than those who experienced the “Joe Jackson reality” firsthand?
Obviously not ’cause he wasn’t HER daddy and he was never her manager. So, Bette Midler, you need to take a seat. You got issues, ol’ girl.
