*Downtown Los Angeles was the only place to be Sunday evening, March 11, 2018 as the stars showed up and showed out to celebrate the birthday of the one and only “Bad Girl of Comedy,” Luenell Campbell!
Luenell filled the historic, Globe Theater, with many of her friends and family, so there was creative talent everywhere you looked. The night started with a black carpet and a step and repeat backdrop of
just her “au natural” photographed from behind, as she lay on her side and as you read her name in street art painted across her back. (Like we said, it was a bold and bawdy affair.)
As her guests started to arrive, they were treated to “We’re Blessed Catering” to feed their bellies and special performances by Troop, Lolitas Burlesque, featuring Silke; the songs of Norwood Young and the
sultry dance moves of Samba Mama Guadalupe D’Lushus and the Sambalushus Dancers to entertain their eyes.
The entertainment didn’t stop there, Don The Magic Juan was in the building, as were Loretta Devine, Paul Mooney, Niko, Scorpio, Annie McKnight and Dale Guy Madson, just to name a few. Tysha Roxie
Williams, Ginger Lee Belle, Silke Hollywood and Egypt Blaque Kayle came together to perform a special birthday song for Luenell and the energy in the room was electric.
Luenell and friends easily danced the night away, as she celebrated her special day with good times, good people and that infectious laugh that could be heard throughout the night. Smiles all around!
