*The recent school shooting in South Florida is on the minds of lots of people including reality TV star Kim Zolciak. Based on her latest actions, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is serious when it comes to her kids’ safety.
In the wake of the shooting, Kim took proactive measures and bought her kids bulletproof backpacks.
“I just asked Kroy what can we do as parents to protect our children everyday in this crazy sad world,” the shared via Instagram. “He said, ‘best thing we could do for now is get bullet proof book bags’ you know, I just did! It’s better than not having anything at all.”

Kim and husband Kroy Biermann have four children together: sons KJ, 6, and Kash, 5, and 4-year-old twins Kaia and Kane.
Kim also has two daughters, 20-year-old Brielle and 16-year-old Ariana, from previous relationships.
In all honesty, a bulletproof backpack won’t provide total safety from someone spraying bullets from an automatic/rapid fire weapon, but it’s better than nothing.
