*A high school student in Boston has spent the last four months drawing portraits of all 411 of his fellow seniors, unbeknownst to any of them — until the pictures were displayed on the last day of school.
Phillip Sossou, an 18-year-old senior at Boston Latin School, drew the portraits in charcoal and worked on them every day, according to the Boston Globe. He came up with the idea as a way to unify the school following recent negative press regarding allegations of racism.
“I was trying to show everyone in a positive light,” Sossou told the Boston Globe. “Our class has been kind of divided. Having these pictures helps us to embrace our diversity.”
