*“Empire” star Gabourey Sidibe recently took to Instagram to show off her impressive weight loss. The 33-year-old actress explained that she went on a crash diet because she was tired of looking at the obesity that stared back at her in the mirror.
SandraRose.com notes how Sidibe has always suffered from poor body image.
“My first diet started when I was six-years-old. I’ve never been a small girl,” she told Oprah Winfrey in 2009. “One day I had to sit down with myself and decide that I loved myself no matter what my body looked like and what other people thought about my body… I got tired of feeling bad all the time. I got tired of hating myself.”
While we’re not here to fat shame anyone, we’re proud of Gabby’s weight loss journey and truly believe that she’s the type with a pretty face who could look stunning after she drops half her weight.

TimetoBreak.com didn’t catch a break from Sidibe after they included her in a weight-loss gallery, using her photo in a side-by-side image that mislabeled her as “Glee” star Amber Riley.
She responded to the lazy write-up by saying: “1.) My name is Gabourey Sidibe. Put some RESPEK on it!” she posted on Twitter last week after they used the name of her breakout character, Precious, in the headline. “2.) Amber Riley and I are not the same person.”
In related news, The National Enquirer wants you to believe that First Lady Michelle Obama has gained nearly 100 pounds. The tabloid’s photoshop hack added a few pounds to Michelle’s fit frame so they could sell a story about her binge-eating over the stresses of raising teenage daughter, Malia.
Check it out below.
The laughable image of Mrs. Obama plastered on the cover is accompanied by a headline that reads: “Life or death drama behind exploding waistline”
What makes this story even more ridiculous is that Michelle is known for being a staunch advocate of healthy eating and exercise. In fact, she recently appeared in a fitness video produced by Funny or Die and costarring Nick Offerman.
