*New bride Ciara has been added to the judging panel for 2017’s Miss America pageant, according to EW.com.
The Grammy-winner joins Olympic gold medalist and Final Five member Gabby Douglas, who was announced Monday as one of the celebrity judges for the annual event.
Country singer Cole Swindell, actresses Sara Foster (“Barely Famous”), Laura Marano (“Austin & Ally”), and Dallas Mavericks owner and entrepreneur Mark Cuban round out the panel
Ciara, who married Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in July, is stacking up all kinds of work outside of her R&B profession, including deals with Roberto Cavalli and Topshop, and a co-hosting gig at this year’s Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris. Her last album, “Jackie,” was released in 2015.
The 96th annual Miss America competition will air live from Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor”) returns to host alongside ESPN anchor Sage Steele.
