*Recently, a video surfaced of a teen girl who was arrested last August for her alleged involvement with the machete murder of a schoolmate. The video shows her hysterical beyond composure as a detective attempts to interrogate her.
Screaming “Gimme my dad!” and “I didn’t do anything!” 19-year-old Desiray Strickland was the fifth suspect charged in the 2015 slaughter of Jose Amaya Guardado on June 28, according to Miami-Dade police.
Previously indicted in the murder (and charged with 2nd degree murder) is 20-year-old Kaheem Arbelo, 18-year-old Jonathan Lucas, 19-year-old Christian Colon and 23-year old Joseph Cabrera. All were arrested and confessed to the crime last year on video.
According to reports, the group of very twisted friends were connected by Homestead Job Corps in Miami, a live-in school and vocational training program for at-risk students run by the U.S. Department of Labor. It is said that they planned the murder over a two-week period.
Claims were also made that Strickland is the girlfriend of “ringleader” Kaheem Arbelo. And according the arrest report obtained by the Miami Herald, witnesses told police Strickland had “complained that she missed the first series of machete strikes because she had walked away for a few minutes to urinate in the woods.”
Reports also say that the couple stayed behind after the gruesome act, and “celebrated by having sex” at the murder scene.
