*It’s one and done for Rosie Perez on “The View.”
Just as the daytime chat show heads toward its summer hiatus, word has it that rookie co-host Rosie Perez will not return in the fall.
Executive producer Bill Wolff reportedly sent a note to the ABC show’s staff announcing Perez’s impending exit. The actress, who joined the series as a co-host last fall, will reportedly leave later this summer when the current season ends.
In the note, Wolff praised Perez for bringing passion and insight to the panel. According to USA Today, Wolff wrote: “Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting. Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive.”
He said the show would give her a proper sendoff when she leaves and that she is welcome to return as a guest.
