Jason Derulo Drops Single on Tinder; Says ‘SYTYD’ Gig is a Good Look

*Jason Derulo claims he doesn’t use the popular hook-up app Tinder to find dates, but he’s not above using it to promote his new single.

The singer and new “So You Think You Can Dance” judge premiered the video for “Want To Want Me” on the service. Why Tinder? Derulo says the app’s function of swiping right for someone you want in hopes the person will also swipe right for you is pretty much the theme of his track.

He explains below:

While doing publicity for his new album “Everything Is 4,” released on June 2, Derulo was of course asked about his ex Jordin Sparks. In Touch wanted to know if he felt some kinda way about her releasing a mixtape about their Sept. 2014 breakup after three years of dating.

Derulo replied, “I only have a problem when people air their dirty laundry in their music when it is used as a marketing tool.”

The 25-year-old singer will soon have to split his busy album promotion with live shows for his judging gig on “So You Think You Can Dance,” which will end its pre-recorded audition shows and go live in the coming weeks.
