*Nick Cannon recently shared insights into his life as a father of 12 on Bobbi Althoff’s “The Really Good Podcast” on June 19. Reflecting on his large family, Cannon expressed contentment with his brood, stating, “I think I’m done,” when asked about having more children.
However, as TODAY reports, he left room for uncertainty, noting, “I don’t know what God or the universe has in store for me.”
Cannon, who welcomed his first child at 30 and had 12 by 40, attributed his desire for a big family to his upbringing and a self-described “king complex,” saying, “I really think I’m a king,” and kings need many heirs.
Cannon’s children, shared with six women, include twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and others with partners like Brittany Bell, LaNisha Cole, Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, and Bre Tiesi.

During the podcast, Althoff challenged him to name all 12, prompting a playful response: “This is where I usually get in trouble.” After rattling off 10 names—Moroccan, Monroe, Golden, Powerful, Rise, Onyx, Legendary, Zion, Zillion, and Zen—he paused, asking, “How many?” Althoff pointed out that he missed two, leading Cannon to add Beautiful and Halo.
Despite his confidence in knowing his children, Cannon’s lighthearted struggle added humor to the conversation. Watch the clip above.
