*February brings Disney’s most comprehensive cultural programming yet as the company rolls out its 2026 “Celebrate Soulfully” initiative, recognizing Black contributions to American arts, leadership, and innovation.
Both Disney World and Disneyland will host dedicated programming throughout the month, with Disneyland introducing its most ambitious addition to date. According to Fantasyland News, a self-guided Heritage Trail now winds through multiple themed areas, presenting educational installations that chronicle influential Black figures across various fields. Guests can discover stories ranging from culinary pioneer Leah Chase in the New Orleans-themed district to animation trailblazer Ron Husband, with additional recognition for civil rights leader Frederick Douglass, corporate executive Martha Blanding, and celebrated animator Floyd Norman at designated stations.
Florida’s Magic Kingdom opens the month’s activities with a February 9 procession featuring Toya Johnson-Rushing in a ceremonial leadership role. Scheduled for mid-afternoon, the event incorporates familiar Disney characters alongside musical acts as it moves from Liberty Square toward the park’s iconic entrance boulevard.

Art enthusiasts visiting EPCOT will find Black creators prominently featured during the ongoing Festival of the Arts, which continues until late February. Stage performances at the American Gardens Theatre spotlight Broadway veterans from productions including “The Lion King” and “Tarzan,” with Jelani Remy, Anastacia McCleskey, and Kissy Simmons among the rotating performers. Visual artists Yesenia Moises, Ryan Riller, Larissa Brown, and Mark Page present their work through dedicated exhibition spaces.
California’s entertainment centerpiece arrives through “Celebrate Gospel,” a concert tradition now positioned at a new outdoor venue within the shopping district. Two separate weekend programs scheduled for late February will feature Grammy-recognized artists Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Yolanda Adams, leading performances that incorporate regional church choirs. Attendance carries no cost and doesn’t necessitate theme park entry.
Food service locations across both resort complexes have developed limited-availability dishes for the month. Options range from a Peach Cobbler Panna Cotta dessert at Florida hotel restaurants to New Orleans BBQ Shrimp available at a California Adventure waterfront dining establishment.
Company representatives note that certain culturally significant attractions operate continuously beyond February, including the recently opened “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” water ride, character dining at “Tiana’s Palace,” and periodic jazz music from animated character Joe Gardner at the Pixar-themed accommodation.
