*NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has made a bold call about the budding romance between Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson and rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
On “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” alongside co-host Adam Lefkoe and guest Mike Tyson, O’Neal gave the couple a mere “six weeks” when asked about their relationship’s staying power. “The line is six weeks,” Shaq declared, standing firm even when Lefkoe questioned if they’d last until fall.
The romance between Thompson, 35, and Megan, 30, first sparked buzz in June when the Grammy-winning artist posted a photo from their Bahamas vacation. Eagle-eyed fans spotted a lanky figure in the background, later confirmed to be Thompson.
The pair further fueled speculation by appearing together at the Pete and Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City, marking a public step in their relationship.

Fans also gushed over a now-deleted TikTok, in which Megan unboxed a collection of Labubu dolls, a thoughtful gift from Thompson. Though he stayed off-camera, his voice and affectionate gestures—like rubbing her thighs—were unmistakable. Megan’s warm references to her “baby” underscored their growing closeness.
Her lively behavior in the video (see below) has sparked speculation among social media users about the durability of her romance with Thompson. One Instagram user remarked, “Klay is a settled and laid back man….she may be a lot for him!”

Despite their public displays, not everyone is convinced of their longevity. Mike Tyson, unfamiliar with Thompson, quipped that Klay deserves “staying power” credit if the relationship outlasts Shaq’s six-week prediction.
