*SHOWTIME electrified fans at CCXP Mexico City with the global debut of the trailer for “Dexter: Resurrection,” the highly anticipated continuation of “Dexter: New Blood.”
The event featured a panel with showrunner Clyde Phillips, star and executive producer Michael C. Hall, series regular David Zayas, and executive producer Scott Reynolds, offering a gripping glimpse into Dexter Morgan’s next chapter. The series, set to premiere with two episodes on July 11 for Paramount+ subscribers with the SHOWTIME plan, will also air on July 13 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, with weekly episodes to follow. International audiences in regions like Canada, the U.K., and Australia can stream it exclusively on Paramount+.
Picking up weeks after “Dexter: New Blood,” the trailer reveals Dexter (Hall) awakening from a coma after being shot by his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), who has since vanished.
“Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City determined to find him and make things right,” the synopsis teases. His quest for redemption is complicated when Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with probing questions, forcing Dexter to confront his past. As father and son navigate New York’s dark underbelly, they face challenges that bind them closer than ever.

The series boasts a stellar cast, including Uma Thurman as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, with guest stars like Neil Patrick Harris and Krysten Ritter. Building on the success of “Dexter: Original Sin,” which drew 2.1 million viewers for its December 2024 premiere, “Resurrection” promises intense drama.
Executive produced by Phillips, Hall, and others, with Monica Raymund and Marcos Siega directing, the New York-based production is poised to captivate audiences.
“As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined – and that the only way out is together,” the trailer hints, setting the stage for a riveting return.
