Born in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, young Zane, relocated to Baltimore, Maryland at the tender age of 13 years old. As a result, he would spend two decades immersed in their rich cultural tapestry.
His journey into the realm of creative arts commenced during his high school years and continued to flourish. In 1999, Zane graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
The allure of the creative process led him back to California in 2013, where as a creator, he delved into writing screenplays. Throughout his journey, he has showcased a remarkable flair for scriptwriting and innovating new content.
Zane’s brainchild, the acclaimed series “Chronicles of Jessica Wu,” proudly boasts an Emmy, thanks to the amazing cast and stellar performance of Jasmine Guy, who won the prestigious award for “Outstanding Actress”. This is Jasmine’s very first Emmy win.
The inspiration behind the Emmy-winning series originated from a deeply personal place- the unique perspective of Zane’s daughter, who is on the Autism spectrum. Once the script was crafted, Zane knew a resounding success was born.
