*Nearly two years after the tragic murder of rapper PnB Rock, new evidence has surfaced that paints a chilling picture of how the crime unfolded.
Investigators with True Crime News have uncovered never-before-seen footage that implicates employees at Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles in Los Angeles in orchestrating a deadly plot against the musician, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.
According to Ana Garcia, an analyst for True Crime News, the chain of events began with a seemingly innocent encounter between PnB and a restaurant employee.
The video (watch above) confirms that after recognizing the rapper, this employee engaged him with a fist bump, which later led to a phone call informing accomplices of PnB’s presence in the establishment.
This discovery puts to rest the notion that PnB’s girlfriend’s Instagram post, revealing their location, was the primary cause of the attack.
“She didn’t get to post that photo until much later,” said Garcia. “It was those two that were responsible for the death of PnB. The setup was just to steal his jewelry.”
The footage suggests that the murder plot was already in motion, aimed at stealing his jewelry.
Previously, social media backlash targeted PnB’s girlfriend, Steph Sibounheuang, who faced immense public scrutiny after her location was revealed to the world via her online story.
“Social media and other celebrities jumped all over to blame her,” Garcia commented, emphasizing that the narrative surrounding her culpability was unfounded and emotionally damaging. The pressures placed on Sibounheuang in the wake of the murder led her into a public perception battle, where she had to navigate not only her personal grief but also the unjust blame from an outraged public.
In a significant development, Freddie Lee Trone, 42, was convicted for orchestrating PnB Rock’s murder, receiving a sentence of 31 years to life in prison. Officials stated that Trone, along with his then-17-year-old son, had executed the robbery and fatal shooting while PnB was dining at Roscoe’s. Despite his claims of innocence, asserting he was running a beauty shop business nearby, surveillance footage placed him at the scene, dismantling his alibi.
As the community continues to process this tragic event, Steph Sibounheuang honors PnB’s memory through intermittent posts on social media, showcasing their shared moments. No new relationships have reportedly emerged in her life since his passing, but she has recently begun receiving support from users who have shifted their narrative to one of empathy rather than blame.
With the sentencing of Freddie Lee Trone and the new evidence unveiled, there is hope the truth surrounding PnB Rock’s murder may foster a deeper understanding of the factors that precipitated this heartbreaking loss and provide some degree of closure for those affected by the tragedy.
