*Jennifer Hudson is back for the third season of her Daytime Emmy-nominated talk show, “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” which premieres on September 16. Hosted by the multi-talented singer, actress, and EGOT winner, the one-hour syndicated series offers viewers joy, laughter, and heartwarming moments at home and in the studio. The show features a diverse lineup of celebrity guests, viral sensations, and incredible everyday heroes who inspire viewers with extraordinary stories.
Hudson, known for her journey from American Idol contestant to one of the few to achieve EGOT status- winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards – embraces the theme of joy for this season—a message she believes everyone can relate to. During a recent interview with EURweb, Hudson shared her personal connection to the theme.
“I like to meet myself where I am, and that’s the space I’m in,” Hudson explained. “Every day, I wake up and set my mind with a positive affirmation. I think, ‘What would make me smile today?’ We all work so hard, but when do we get to ourselves and ask, ‘Where can I find my joy?’ My mother always said, ‘Take care of yourself,’ and that’s what inspired this season’s theme.”
Throughout Season 3, Hudson plans to explore the concept of joy through candid discussions with her guests. “One way is by sharing my journey, but I also want to learn from my guests—how do they find joy?” Hudson said. “I want us to take in the moment, be present, and create great memories.”
The first two seasons of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” have been filled with joyful surprises and uplifting moments, and fans can expect even more excitement in the new season. Hudson expressed her love for the energy that comes with each taping. “Even on the days when I’m tired, the energy from the audience lifts me up in ways I can’t even describe,” she shared. “This place represents joy to me, and I’m excited to create even more memories this season.”
Not only does Hudson take pride in the show’s joy-filled atmosphere, but she’s also garnered significant recognition for her efforts. In 2024, the show received four Daytime Emmy nominations, following six nominations in 2023. Hudson’s excellence has also been recognized by the NAACP Image Awards, where she won “Outstanding Talk Show Host” in 2023, and the show took home “Outstanding Talk Show Series” in 2024.
Looking ahead to the new season, Hudson is most excited about sharing the stage with her guests and finding new ways to spread joy. “I get so much joy from seeing others experience joy,” she said. “We’ve created great memories here, and I’m looking forward to many more in Season 3.”
Whether it’s viral moments, life-changing surprises, or heart-tugging stories, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” is set to continue spreading positivity across the nation. Don’t miss the premiere of Season 3 on October 16.
