*Jagged Edge singer Brandon Casey was involved in a severe car accident that left him with multiple broken bones and a fractured skull.
Casey, 42, turned to Instagram on Tuesday (July 16) to open up about how he almost lost his life in the car wreck, The Jasmine Brand reports. He wrote, “have to send a big Thanku to @grady.hospital after bein in iCU for five days I kno the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything it’s said to Be the Best in the country yall saved my life and I’m forever grateful.”
Casey said he broke his neck and five ribs, as well as scalp lacerations, and has “pain all over my body.
He added, “but ima be good I promise yall God got me… all praises to the most high most awesome most wonderful God Thanku lord!!!!”
In a separate post, he shared an image of his crushed car.

“I never post these type pictures upon delivering the news that I been hurt cuz the people who really love me don’t play about me and I don’t wanna add to they fright of how I may be doin,” he captioned the image, adding, “but ima jus post this jus so u kno neither wreck was a fender Bender I could be probably should be dead — oh except the Big fact that God does protect his Flock”
Casey was involved in a serious car crash last year and noted at the time that he’ll “never be the same” after the incident.
The R&B singer turned to Instagram to post a picture of the aftermath of the crash, showing his vehicle completely totaled.
“When you know god got you thru it you gotta say Thank you,” Casey captained the post. “Gotta feel gratitude not just speak it Thank you Father I know I wouldn’t b here without ur grace and mercy I’ll prolly never be the same but I’m so grateful I’m here. Thank you Jesus!!!!”
