*DJ Envy addressed false reports that comedian Jess Hilarious was fired as the new third co-host of “The Breakfast Club” before she started the gig.

“I think one of the funniest theories was when we got back from vacation… they said [Jess] worked one day and got fired that day,” Envy told Page Six.

He added, “Mind you, she did not work at all. She hasn’t been to the city and won’t be until Feb. 5. We are hearing a lot of fake news, and these hating comments.”

iHeart radio confirmed on Jan. 29 that Jess was joining longtime hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne the God on the popular morning radio show, replacing Angela Yee.

Jess confirmed she was joining the show in December, but SandaRose.com later reported she was out after a no-call/no-show on her first day earlier this month.

Envy told Page Six that the false rumors popped up while “we were in the middle of our photo shoot” to promote the new lineup.

“We were actually doing a photo shoot [at the time] and these people [online] are talking about, ‘Jess didn’t get the job… what is going to happen to Jess now?’ It just goes to show… that is what happens when too many people have a microphone or [a] computer in front of them.’”

Thea Mitchem, iHeartMedia’s executive vice president of programming, called Jess “a force in her own right” and “the standout choice to join Charlamagne and DJ Envy to build upon The Breakfast Club’s legacy of entertaining, informing, and enlightening the community,” the statement continued, Billboard reports.

Jess added, “I’m looking forward to joining forces with one of the largest media platforms. I’m confident that taking the third seat at The Breakfast Club will show people that Jess Hilarious is not just comedy, but culture.”

Jess Hilarious reportedly kicked off her new “Breakfast Club” job on Feb. 5.
