*Coretta Scott King’s daughter, Dr. Bernice King, has seemingly responded to Jonathan Majors’ likening the women in his life to her late mother.
During his recent interview with “Good Morning America,” the disgraced actor said his girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, “held me down” like Coretta Scott King amid his domestic violence trial last month.
“She’s an angel,” Majors said of Good, whom he began dating last May after his arrest for allegedly assaulting Jabbari in March.
“I’m so blessed to have her. The relationship is still fresh. I think I found her,” he added.
Following the exclusive chat that aired Monday, Dr. King, 60, hit up social media to share a photo of her mother and the caption: “My mother wasn’t a prop,” she wrote. “She was a peace advocate before she met my father and was instrumental in him speaking out against the Vietnam War. Please understand…my mama was a force.”
Majors made similar remarks about Coretta to his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in a recorded audio that was released amid the ex-couple’s domestic violence trial in December.
“I would like to get to the point where your friends know what job I’m on and go, ‘I think Grace is gonna be out of commission,’” he continued.
“Do you understand that?” Majors asked. “‘Cause that team, that unit, right? Grace has to be in a certain mindset.”
He continued, “Coretta Scott King. You know who that is? That’s Martin Luther King’s wife. Michelle Obama, Barack Obama’s wife.”
Majors is facing up to a year behind bars after being found guilty of assault and harassment against Jabbari. His sentencing is scheduled for February 6.
