*50 Cent announced this week that he’s explaining the “Power” universe that will unpack the origin story of Tommy and Ghost.

“You asked, I answered. Young Ghost and Tommy coming your way,” Fiddy wrote in an Instagram post about the forthcoming series titled “Power Origins.”

The original “Power” series centers on wealthy New York City nightclub owner and drug kingpin James “Ghost” St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick). His longtime friend Tommy (played by Joseph Sikora) helped distribute the narcotics. The show was created by Courtney A. Kemp and executive produced by 50 Cent and spawned three spinoff series.

“As we approach the 10-year anniversary of Power it is incredible to witness the enormous connection our fans have with the ‘Power’ universe,” Kathryn Busby, President of Programming for Starz said in a statement to Deadline. “We can’t wait to see how Origins will further evolve this dynamic franchise while bringing fresh, gripping, and expansive storytelling to our audience.”

Meanwhile, we reported earlier that production has begun in Chicago on season three of STARZ’s action-packed drama series “Power Book IV: Force.”

The third spinoff in the “Power” franchise stars Sikora as “Tommy Egan,” who is trying to stake his claim as the sole drug distributor in Chicago.

“The fan response to this action-packed season of Force has been incredible,” said Kathryn Busby, President of Programming for STARZ, previously in a statement. “They’ve made it clear that they need more Tommy and we’re thrilled to deliver. Christmas has indeed come early!”

Season 2 saw Tommy chart his territory, capitalize on his competitors’ weaknesses, and “make his play at becoming the sole drug distributor in Chicago,” per the news release.

We reported earlier… showrunner Gary Lennon said last year that if the series returns for a third season, he has “a story in my mind where I will bring back a character from our Power OG world to intersect with Tommy Egan,” Lennon explained in an interview with The Messenger.
