*Hyundai’s line-up is doing it for me! The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a great choice for a simple sedan with a touch of class and sportiness. Let’s get into it.
Design & Features: Hyundai is doing it for me when it comes to upgrading looks and features. The Sonata is a vehicle that speaks to the sophistication of a woman about her business but also the practicality of a social butterfly. It’s got great curb appeal with its bold angles and muscular form.
The 17-inch alloy wheels coupled with the rounded ends make the Sonata look and feel like an out of world experience. LED lights all around, brightening paths through slitted fixtures take it to a whole new level.
Inside, driver and passengers can enjoy the simple comfort of ample space and little creature comforts like heated and ventilated seats. The panoramic sunroof elevates the space, giving everyone a little extra sunlight. I absolutely love the seamless dashboard and infotainment display, adding to the sleek look and feel of the overall design.
Technology & Safety: Hyundai does a great job of ensuring access to multiple charging stations throughout the vehicle. Up front, are at least two USB-C charging ports along with a wireless charger. In the backseat, passengers can also enjoy the ease of two charging ports. Of course, I have to mention how lovely it is that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect wirelessly.

Of the tech features the Sonata offers, that I didn’t try, are the Hyundai Digital Key and Remote Smart Parking Assist, which allows a driver to park a car without being inside the vehicle. Pretty cool.
Hyundai’s total SmartSense safety package comes standard with the Limited, but some features are unavailable in other trims. The Surround View Monitor, which I love, especially when backing out of a busy parking lot, allows a driver to see the vehicle from all angles to make the best driving decisions. But this feature, for example, is missing in other trims.
The Drive: Generally, the drive is smooth and easy. The Sonata doesn’t pack a whole lot of power, but gets the job done. As a hybrid, it’s excellent on gas coming in at 47 mpg combined.
Overall, a solid vehicle, great style for its class and a great design.
