‘Wicked City’ Exclusive Clip: Julius Lets Javi in on his Plans | Watch

*We have an exclusive clip from this week’s all-new episode of ALLBLK’s hit supernatural drama series, “Wicked City.”

The series centers on five witches who accidentally kill one of their own during a spell, so they use forbidden death magic to resurrect her, only to face new dangers when they bring back more than they bargained for.

In our preview of this Thursday’s episode, Javi learns what he’s been working toward all these years. Watch the moment via the YouTube clip above.

“This season, three months after failing to stop a magical slaver named The Handler (Karon Joseph Riley, Ambitions), the Atlanta coven find themselves broken and separated,” per the synopsis. “Jordan (Shaquita Smith, The Couch) – who now runs The Mystic Haven – and Angela (Chantal Maurice, P-Valley) try and fail to find Sherise (Chanel Mack, The Harder They Fall) who’s being held captive by The Handler. Mona (Mercedez McDowell, The Resident) has moved away, and Camille (Taylor Polidore, Snowfall) is put in permanent hiding by her birth mother, Claudette (Rhonda Redette Morman, Hush),” the synopsis continues.

“Unbeknownst to the coven, Tabitha (Vanessa Bell Calloway, Shameless) and Caden (Malika Blessing, The Perfect Man) are trapped inside a nightmare realm as Claudette exacts her revenge. Meanwhile, Sherise is forced to do The Handler’s bidding at his high-class magical supper club “Obsidian Dream.” ”

Showrunner and executive producer Tressa “Azarel” Smallwood said previously that she wanted to elevate Black writers through the series.

“When writers Kristin Iris Johnson and Serena M. Lee approached me with the concept for “Wicked City,” I knew we had something new and different that hadn’t been seen on TV before,” Smallwood said in a 2022 interview. “‘Wicked City’ not only showcases a broader diversity of Blackness, it fills the gap of the kind of Black supernatural content that so many in our community have wanted to see but have been perpetually deprived of.”

Per the press release, the additional “Wicked City” cast includes India Marie Cross (It Wasn’t Me), Yandy Smith-Harris (Love and Hip Hop Atlanta), Gary Anthony Sturgis (Diary of a Mad Black Woman), Samantha James (Black and Blue), Kamilah Meek (Young Rock), Kurtis D. Glenn (The Assistant 3), Clover J. Adams (Taylor’s Diary), Maurice P. Kerry (Atlanta), Krystal Monique Mosley (Dhoom 3), Michael Silberblatt (Hawkeye), Marco Reese Maldonado (A Killer Romance), Carrie Anne Hunt (Magic Mike XXL), Michael M. Jones (P. Valley) and Sasha McKoon.

New episodes drop weekly on Thursdays on ALLBLK.
