*Tiffany Haddish is charged with two misdemeanors for her DUI arrest in Los Angeles last month.
We reported previously (via CNN) that Haddish was arrested (and later released) on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
TMZ reports that the “Girls Trip” star was not involved in an accident but was found asleep in her parked vehicle with the car running in the middle of Beverly Drive.
As People reports, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Wednesday that Haddish was charged with “one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol and a misdemeanor count of driving with .08% blood alcohol content,” the outlet writes.
The comedian, 44, was arrested in the early hours of Nov. 24 after police responded to a call about a woman who was stopped in the street while the vehicle was running.
Hours after her arrest, the “Girls Trip” star addressed the incident during a stand-up show at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California.
In audio obtained by TMZ, when an audience member asked about the incident, Haddish jokingly replied, “I had prayed to God to send me a man with a job, career, preferably in a uniform, and I answered my prayers,” she said.
Haddish later told Entertainment Tonight that she plans to get help, saying, “This will never happen again.”
“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she told the outlet.
Haddish claims her Tesla self-parked when she fell asleep and blocked part of the street when police arrested her.
According to People, Haddish is expected to enter a plea during her arraignment scheduled for Dec. 22.
