*We all know Eddie Murphy is one funny guy. Well, he showed off his comedic skill once again Tuesday night at the Golden Globes by invoking Will Smith’s notorious Oscars slap/meltdown.
The funny moment at Smith’s expense happened after Murphy, 61, accepted the Cecille B. DeMille Award for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.”
After giving a somewhat subdued address reflecting on his four-decade career and setting up the audience, Murphy signed off by saying he had advice for young actors looking to achieve success.
It was a reference, of course, to Will Smith’s infamous slapping of presenter Chris Rock at last year’s Academy Awards ceremony, after Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith. WATCH it go down via the video below.
