Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show is the Most-Watched Ever!

*Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII halftime show is officially the most-watched halftime performance ever.

We reported previously that more people watched Rihanna’s halftime show than they did the actual game.

In a Tweet, Fox Sports’ public relations account revealed immediately after the Big Game that the Super Bowl averaged 113 million viewers across all platforms. Rihanna’s halftime performance averaged 118.7 million viewers and was the second-most-watched halftime show behind Katy Perry’s performance in 2015.

The Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 12 marked Rihanna’s first solo appearance in seven years. The global superstar served up a melody of her hits which led to a significant boost in streaming her music, Variety reports.

Among the tracks Rihanna performed during halftime were “B___h Better Have My Money,” “We Found Love,” “Rude Boy,” “Work,” and “Diamonds.” Per Discover Music, via Yahoo, streams of “B___h Better Have My Money” increased by more than 2,600 percent following the game.

According to TMZ, the halftime performance also garnered rampant FCC complaints for being “overly sexualized.”

The live broadcast of RiRi’s performance attracted 121.017 million viewers. According to the original ratings, she had 118.7 million viewers for her halftime show. Katy Perry held the record for the most viewers with 121 million in 2015, but Rihanna’s show gained nearly 3 million more, according to Billboard.

The entertainer was visibly pregnant with her second child during her halftime performance and Rihanna later confirmed that she and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky are having another baby. Last May, the couple welcomed her first child together, a boy.
